One of my family’s favorite holiday traditions is to drive around looking at lights!! We celebrate Christmas in our home, and lights, both inside and out, are a huge part of the wonder and magic of our tradition. There are so many ways to experience bright, fun lights, and what I’ve discovered is that my kids are happy to see lights any time, any place. So our new tradition has become driving around our neighborhood almost every evening so see what festive decor our neighbors have come up with! This picture is their current favorite house.
Zoo lights are awesome, the Morton Arboretum’s Illuminations Show is incredible, but the simple wonder of neighborhood lights does the trick, and I’m so happy to see their faces light up with exclamations of excitement just as brightly as these twinklers here when they see them out the windows .
