Lisa first experienced Stroller Strides as a new mom with an 8 month old on Long Island in 2008. She moved to Chicago in 2009 and started doing activities with Stroller Strides Chicago. After her 3rd child was born and her older 2 were in school, she became more involved and went through the Body Back program. She wanted to share her renewed love of fitness and the success she had through the Fit4Mom programs with other moms and so became Stroller Strides certified in the spring of 2013. She is excited to be apart of an amazing community of instructors and moms!more
Stacey has her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology/Exercise Science from Indiana University. In addition to her Stroller Strides Pre/Post Natal Instructor certification, she is also a certified Health/Fitness Specialist through the American College of Sports Medicine and a certified Yoga Instructor through YogaFit. Stacey worked in corporate fitness and wellness, most recently as the Wellness Program Director for the American Medical Association, from her graduation in 2000 until 2011, when she decided to stay at home with her son. She loves working with expectant mothers and helping them feel strong, healthy, and confident- preparing them for labor and motherhood.more
Amanda grew up in Michigan and completed her undergraduate degree at Michigan State University. After college, she lived in Philadelphia, PA and Madison, WI before making Chicago her home in 2011, where she attended Roosevelt University to obtain an MBA. She began attending Stroller Strides and Stroller Barre in January of 2017, a few months after the birth of her son, Hudson. It was the perfect place to meet other moms and get back into a fitness routine. Amanda is ACE certified as a general group fitness instructor as well as in Stroller Strides and Stroller Barre. She couldn't be more excited to lead other moms, helping them connect with each other, their kiddos and their bodies.more
I'm originally from Birmingham, MI (suburb of Detroit area) moved to Chicago 11 years ago. Currently reside in Old Town with my 2 yr old son, Anil, hubby Vijay and golden retriever Pumpkin. I found Stroller Strides in Dec 2014 when Anil was 4mos old looking to meet other moms in the area to form lasting friendships while getting back into shape! I found that and so much more! And loved it so much that I decided I wanted to help other new moms find the support, motivation and love we really need as mothers!more
Chantal began attending stroller strides classes in the spring of 2016, with her 7 month old daughter after moving to the Chicago suburbs from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Chantal knew immediately that Stroller Strides was the program she had been looking for to enrich her and her daughter’s life, through fitness and community. Chantal has been a teacher for over ten years with experience in multiple grades, subjects as well as special education. At the beginning of 2017, Chantal was certified as a Stroller Strides and Fit4Baby instructor. Chantal is excited to grow with the Fit4Mom community, instructing mothers like herself who are looking to enjoy all the amazing benefits that fitness and friendship can bring!more
Elizabeth grew up in the south suburbs of Chicago and relocated to the city in 2010 to pursue her Masters in Counseling. After the birth of their daughter in 2015, Elizabeth was looking to meet other moms who enjoyed being active. After attending her first Stroller Strides class, she never looked back. Elizabeth not only found other moms who enjoyed being active with their children, but a community of moms who support, motivate, and care for one another. This unwavering sense of community is what drives her to share her passion for motherhood and fitness with others.more
Erin is originally from the northern suburbs but has lived in the city for the last 10 years. After the birth of her daughter, Avery, in June of 2015 she was looking for a way to get back into shape and also really wanted to meet other moms in the area. She took her first stroller strides class that summer and was instantly hooked! That fall Erin went through the Body Back program and she was amazed at how much it changed her life. The support, accountability, and intense workouts were just what Erin needed to feel like herself again. She is thrilled to be an instructor and help other mom's feel their best too!more
Originally from New Jersey, Heather moved to Chicago in 2010 to train to work in the Chicago Public Schools. She met her husband, a fellow teacher, through the program, and in February 2016 they welcomed their twin girls. She began attending Stroller Strides when they were a few months old and immediately knew that this was the community she was waiting for. Heather loved the opportunity to work out, bond with her girls, and spend time with other friendly, supportive moms.
Heather grew up in the northwest suburbs, and graduated from Indiana University. After pursuing a Masters in Education, she taught fifth grade in Chicago Public Schools. While she loved teaching, she wanted to have more time with her children, so in 2013 she left the classroom. This decision was one of the best decisions she has made, but she found herself missing teaching and the community that her school provided. She found this sense of community again when she attended her first Stroller Strides class, so when the opportunity to become an instructor presented itself she was thrilled! Working with Fit4Mom allows her to teach and inspire moms while showing children how important and exciting staying fit can be!more
Ivette is originally from Florida, and moved to Chicago in 2010 with her husband and continued her career as a Special Education teacher with CPS. Originally from Orlando, Florida, Fit4Mom has become her home away from home. Ivette has been part of the Fit4Mom village for 4 years. Since joining the village, Ivette has regularly attended Stroller Stride classes at the Chicago locations. Last year, she accepted the role of Play Group Captain. She has loved to watch her children grow up in a supportive community that embraces being active while having fun. Ivette plans a fun activity every week for all the Chicago classes from Mom’s Night Out, to crafts, and play groups. Ivette enjoys planning activities that bring our Fit4Mom village together. In 2015, Ivette participated in the Fit4mom Body Back program and it changed her life! She is stronger, happier and makes healthy choices for herself and her family. Ivette is now a Body Back instructor in Chicago.
Jessica and her husband Daniel moved to Chicago in 2012. After having their son, Manny, in 2014, Jessica was looking for a way to meet other mothers and to get back into a regular fitness routine. Having a background in dance, Stroller Barre was what brought Jessica into the Chicago Fit4Mom village. After being certified in Stroller Strides, Stroller Barre, and Fit4Baby, Jessica looks forward to helping other moms find new friends, support, and fitness for motherhood.more
Kristen joined stroller strides in the summer of 2015 when her daughter Samantha was 6 months old, and immediately felt at home. Originally from Michigan, she and her husband relocated to Chicago over 10 years ago, and then to the North Shore in 2013. Kristen and Samantha love being a part of this great community and have made many friends along the way. She decided to get more involved and became an instructor in 2016. Kristen is excited to grow the community and help others in the same way stroller strides helped her!more
Laura started attending Stroller Strides classes regularly when her daughter was about 1 year old, and her only regret is not attending sooner. It was exactly what she had been looking for: a great workout and a wonderful community of moms and little ones. She then went through a Body Back session and was amazed at not only the physical changes in strength she experienced, but also what an inspirational and powerful program it is for all aspects of wellness. As a life-long athlete and Physical Therapist, Laura has always been dedicated to health and fitness and helping others achieve their goals, soit was a natural transition to become an instructor. She is thrilled to be teaching and building the FIT4MOM Village in the Evanston area!more
Lexi relocated to Arlington Heights from Chicago when her first child, Henry, was 8 months old. She was surprised to learn that there was no stroller fitness class in a town so heavily populated with babies and young families. Lexi connected with Fit4Mom Chicago and started a Stroller Strides class in Arlington Heights in 2013. Having struggled with her weight since childhood Lexi found that group fitness classes gave her the structure and motivation she needed to make physical fitness an integral part of her life. Lexi became an AAFA certified fitness instructor in 2013 and is so excited and proud to share her passion and enthusiasm for fitness with others, in particular her two sons, Henry and Nils!more
Melisa, originally from Miami, FL, has lived in Chicago for 15 years. She graduated from Interior Design school at Harrington College of Design and after working in the field for a bit, she opened her own flower shop in 2008. She decided to close her shop 3 months after her daughter was born in 2015 and quickly noticed she needed structure back in her life. She learned about Fit4mom through a new moms group and immediately signed up. She attended stroller strides 3 times a week and was hooked. Stroller Strides for her is more than fitness it is a community of amazing Moms. After almost 2 years, she decided to become a stroller stride instructor. She looks forward to sharing the Fit4mom love to other moms.more

Nicole Recca, originally from the Midwest, grew up in Orlando, Florida. In August of 2016, Nicole, her husband and 14 month old daughter Zoë moved to Chicago. After only a week in the city, Nicole was encouraged to attend a Stroller Strides class by fellow mom and friend. After only one class, she was hooked! Nicole credits the Fit4Mom Village for making her and Zoë feel so welcome, and giving them a place to not only exercise, but meet other moms. With fitness and team sports being such a huge part of her life, Nicole wanted to share her passion with her daughter and other moms, so she joined the Fit4Mom Instructor Team.more
Rebecca Chagas joined the FIT4MOM team after moving from downtown Chicago to the Northshore. After having a baby in May 2014, she knew she wanted to get back in shape, meet other moms and have fun. Before teaching Stroller Strides she managed two baby stores in Chicago and managed in hotels prior to that. Her passion for fitness and helping people to make a change brought her to FIT4MOM.more
Sara Larsen lives in Glenview IL with her husband Tony and daughter Allie. Prior to joining Stroller Strides, Sara was a running and nutrition coach and took passion in helping others meet their health and fitness goals. After having Allie in 2015 Sara felt isolated while caring for her baby and started looking for a community to exercise with and meet new friends. Once Sara joined Stroller Strides she immediately fell in love with the program and community. She is now dedicated to helping other moms find a positive and loving community and help them gain confidence and strength in a fun, motivating group setting.more
Stacey Nelson has been in the fitness industry for over 20 years. She has a passion for health and fitness. She loves helping others learn to empower themselves through a healthy lifestyle. She was born and raised in Evanston, Illinois and still resides in the northern suburbs with her husband and baby girl. Her degree is in health and nutrition from the University of Massachusetts. After her daughter was born she wanted to include her daughter in her fitness lifestyle and joined Stroller Strides in Vernon Hills. In addition to enjoying the workouts she loved the idea of getting to know other moms and the supportive atmosphere they provide. She decided with her personal training background it would be a wonderful fit to become an instructor herself. She is now a Stroller Strides and Fit4Baby instructor teaching at the Glenview location.more
